“The City of Homestead is extremely proud of the South Dade Senior High School Football Team for the hard work, dedication and commitment each of the players presented throughout the season and for the excellent coaching staff that provided the leadership to earn their first Class 8A State Football Championship title,” said Mayor Porter as the key to the city was presented to the school’s Principal, Javier Perez.
Among the other distinguished guests in attendance were Councilman Elvis Maldonado, Councilwoman Patricia Fairclough (both pictured here), Congressman Joe Garcia, Florida Senate Representative Dwight M. Bullard, Florida Senate Representative Kionne McGhee, Vice Chair Lynda Bell, Board of County Commissioners and Vice Chair, Dr. Lawrence Feldman of the M-DCPS School Board.
