Councilman Elvis R. Maldonado addressed the Viva Homestead Main Street Al Gusto Festival audience on Saturday, June 19 at Losner Park in the Homestead Historic Downtown District.
Viva Homestead Main Street Al Gusto Festival was a successful event and celebration of Hispanic heritage and culture. Everyone who attended the event was treated to a performance of salsa and other genres of music from Son d Panderos and the Homestead City Ballet while enjoying a variety of foods from the fabulous Food Truck Invasion. Children played in the kid’s zone and jumped in bounce houses while adults had the opportunity to peruse local vendors.
“I am extremely proud to be a Hispanic American and even more proud to be part of Homestead’s vibrant Hispanic community,” said Councilman Maldonado. “Everyone here deserves a hand for continuing to preserve their Hispanic culture, which continues to makes this community unique and special, we should always be proud of where we come from and the community we are building together.”
