Officer Cosio, who joined the Homestead Police Department in December 2013 after serving with the South Miami Police Department, has been a valuable asset to the force, currently serving in uniform patrol on the day shift.
During August, Officer Cosio demonstrated his commitment to the community in two notable incidents. On August 15th, he played a pivotal role in resolving a stolen FedEx truck incident. He demonstrated outstanding teamwork and professionalism. Six days later, Officer Cosio faced a heart-wrenching situation involving a 10-month-old child in distress. His quick thinking and life-saving actions ensured the child's well-being.
