NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE FY 2021 CDBG ALLOCATION AND ACTION PLAN, FAIR HOUSING, AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT NEEDS OF THE CITY
2021 CDBG ALLOCATION
The City of Homestead has been awarded $769,583 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for FY 2021-2022. The annual Action Plan has been developed in accordance with the Consolidated Plan and includes funding for the STEM, First-time homebuyer Housing program, Public Services, Administration, Section 108 repayment, and three City parks projects. The Action Plan may be viewed on the City’s website, or by contacting the individual listed below in the City’s Finance Department. The public comment period will expire at 5 PM on July 21, 2021. The Action Plan will be submitted to HUD on or about August 10, 2021.
PUBLIC MEETING
The City will conduct a public meeting during the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting at 5:30 PM, July 21, 2020. The hybrid Public Hearing can be viewed live on the City access Channel or Livesteam at www.Cityofhomestead.com/publicmeeting. City Council Members, City Staff, and the public will be participating through video conferencing. The public may also participate live during the Virtual Public Hearing by utilizing video conference via WebEx Events or via toll free conference call number. Please visit www.cityofhomestead.com/calendar for specific details and instructions on participation utilizing video and telephonic conferencing.
In addition, the City will be accepting public comments as part of the Hybrid Public Hearing, which can be emailed to publiccomments@cityofhomestead.com. Public comments on specific agenda items (including your name, address, item you would like to comment on, and your comment) can be submitted up until noon on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, and reviewed by the Council as part of the record. All comments are limited to 300 words per comment.

If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, that person will need a record of the proceedings and, for such purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
