City of Homestead Monitoring Hurricane Elsa

Hurricane Elsa Updates

The City of Homestead is currently monitoring Hurricane Elsa and encourages all Homestead residents to check their storm plans.  While the forecast is still uncertain at this time, the storm is forecast to be near Florida by Monday or Tuesday and residents should monitor communications for updates.  At this time, there are no planned alterations to City services related to Hurricane Elsa.

Residents should also be aware that there are no planned additional bulky waste pickups outside of the normal solid waste schedule and should not to place items out for pickup if they do not have a regularly scheduled bulky waste pickup.   Information on recommended storm preparations, emergency kit contents, and emergency contact information can be found online at www.cityofhomestead.com/preparedness.
