NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE FY 2020 CDBG ALLOCATION AND ACTION PLAN, FAIR HOUSING, AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT NEEDS OF THE CITY
2020 CDBG ALLOCATION
The City of Homestead has been awarded $824,017 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for FY 2020-2021. The annual Action Plan has been developed in accordance with the Consolidated Plan and includes funding for the STEM and Utility/Rental Public Services, Administration, Section 108 repayment, three City parks projects, and two non-profit public facilities. The Action Plan may be viewed on the City’s website, or by contacting the individual listed below in the City’s Finance Department. The public comment period will expire at 5 PM on July 31, 2020. The Action Plan will be submitted to HUD on or about August 10, 2020.
PUBLIC MEETING
The City will conduct a public meeting during the regularly scheduled Committee of the Whole (City Council) Meeting at 6 PM, July 14, 2020. This is a virtual meeting. Please contact Ms. Pierre for instructions on how to participate. The purpose of the public meeting is to receive public comments on the proposed 2020 CDBG Action Plan.
FAIR HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT NEEDS
