The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has scheduled a full closure of southbound Florida’s Turnpike to allow crews to install an overhead sign structure in this area. In order to perform this work safely, traffic will be detoured during the following dates and times:
All southbound lanes on Florida’s Turnpike at SW 152nd Street/Coral Reef Drive will be closed from 11 p.m. Monday, June 4 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 5. Motorists will be directed to exit at SW 152nd Street/Coral Reef Drive (Exit 16), travel south on SW 117th Avenue to SW 184th Street/ Eureka Drive and travel east on SW 184th Street/ Eureka Drive to access southbound Florida’s Turnpike.
The southbound Florida’s Turnpike entrance ramp from SW 152nd Street/Coral Reef Drive and SW 117th Avenue will be closed from 11 p.m. Monday, June 4 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 5. Motorists will be directed to travel south on SW 117th Avenue to SW 184th Street/ Eureka Drive and travel east on SW 184th Street/ Eureka Drive to access southbound Florida’s Turnpike.
If necessary to complete this work, these closures will also occur nightly from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5 and Wednesday, June 6.
