Residents should be aware that we are hosting a large scale NASCAR Race Event over the next several days.
There will be a significant increase in Traffic on Friday (11/18/2015), Saturday (11/19/2015), and Sunday (11/20/2015).
On Friday (11/18), the Ford Ecoboost 200 race begins at 8:00 PM. It is anticipated that there will be a significant increase of traffic (inbound to the Track) beginning at approximately 4:00 PM, and outbound from the Track, there will be a significant increase for outbound track (away from the Track beginning at approximately 9:30 PM.
On Saturday (11/19), the Ford Ecoboost 300 Race is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM. There will be significant inbound traffic on surrounding roadways beginning at about 1:00 PM. The race is anticipated to end at approximately 6:15 PM at which time there will significant outbound trafficon surrounding roadways.
Sunday (11/20) will be the Ford Ecoboost 400 Race. This event will be the largest draw of vehicles and spectators out of all three days. Although the actual race is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM, there will be considerable inbound traffic beginning at 9:30 AM. The outbound traffic flow will begin at approximately 5:30 PM.
We recommend that area residents attempt to keep in mind the different time frames for each of the next three days that traffic delays will be a concern for roadways surrounding the Track. The most significant areas that residents not attending the race should avoid if at all possible during those time frames are:
1) SW 137 Ave (Speedway Blvd), between SW 336 St and SW 288 St.
2) SW 142 Ave (between SW 328 St and SW 344 St.)
3) SW 152 Ave (between SW 344 St and SW 312 St)
4) SW 344 St (between SW 117 Ave and US #1)
5) SW 328 ST (between SW 117 Ave and US #1)
6) SW 312 St. (between SW 137 Ave and SW 162 Ave)
