There are currently three openings in the City of Homestead Mayor’s Youth Council. Dynamic, outgoing, and exceptional superior students in grades 8th – 11th, who live in the City of Homestead, are invited to apply to form part of the Mayor’s Youth Council.
The purpose of the Mayor’s Youth Council is to complement academic studies by increasing the students’ knowledge, voice, communication, and involving them in practical hands on experiences to promote volunteerism among both youth and adults in civic education and affairs.
The selected students will gain great knowledge through participation on local boards and committees. The selection and application process will be competitive but it will be made up of a group of diverse young people that will represent ALL youth and serving as a great demonstration as a youth who wants to make a difference and voice for greater good in the City of Homestead.
