Mayor Lynda Bell delivered the State of the City Address on Tuesday, October 20 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. The early evening event was attended by almost 300.

Highlights included:

  • Mistress of Ceremonies, Councilwoman Nazy Sierra
  • Invocation by Pastor David Cleeland
  • Presentation of Colors by the Homestead Police Explorers
  • National Anthem sung by Captain Ariol Paz, 482d Fighter Wing Budget Officer
  • Introduction of Mayor Bell by Homestead Police Chief Al Rolle

The Mayor's speech addressed the achievements and successes of the city and council in the past year as well as the challenges that are being faced.
