Community Redevelopment Agency
Our Goal
The mission of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is to revitalize the community redevelopment area and to provide economic stimulus such that the future value of the property within the community redevelopment area is optimized. Its goal is to combat neighborhood deterioration and eliminate economic blight in the designated area.

There are many incentives available for businesses that are located in the CRA. For information on locating your business in the CRA, please contact the Economic Development Office.

The Homestead Community Redevelopment Agency was created in 1994, following Hurricane Andrew, under the powers granted by legislature, under Florida Statue 163.3. CRAs receive their funding from Tax Increment Financing (TIF) and revenue bonds.
