City of Homestead Advises Residents of Gated Communities How to Report Damage

The City of Homestead has received many reports of damage such as fallen trees and blocked roadways throughout the City.  Crews have already cleared many of these hazards and will continue to do so until sustained Tropical Force Winds make it unsafe to be outside.  Unfortunately, City of Homestead crews cannot respond to calls within gated communities.  All roadways, drainage, and landscaping within gated communities are maintained by the Homeowners’ Association.  Residents living within these communities need to contact their HOA directly to report damage.  It can also be report online directly to Miami-Dade County at www.cityofhomestead.com/damage for the purposes of evaluating Hurricane Irma’s total impact.
